The network operators are responsible for “keeping the lights on” by managing the logistics and technical/back end of the network. Ultimately, they will be neutral parties working to understand how to help the network drivers leverage the capacity of the network in order to get work done. Rather than a focus on how the network can help them (though it will), these people focus largely on solving problems for others—identifying where the energy and needs are. The operations team is also responsible for keeping an eye on adherence to boundaries and protocols.
